1000 Real Life Project began with the wish that
the life and death of human beings, their "dignity of life", be
cherished, not violated and ignored. The project's aim is to provide
an opportunity for consideration of the significance of "life" and "death" within the context provided by Tatsuo Miyajima's
artwork
Deathclock.
The project is also an experiment. The manner in which
it is disseminated is new and adventurous, transcending traditional
art markets.
Tatsuo Miyajima and the collaborating artists hope 1000 Real Life
Project will afford participants a chance to rethink what is real
art, what is real life, and to consider the possibility of "art
as life design."
The project focuses in on the real "life" and "death"
of 1,000 individuals in order to create a work of art, and it
begins now. |
