This collaborative project takes as its starting point Miyajima's artwork Deathclock. Using RFID tags designed by Hajime Tachibana, and clothing by Kiyonaga of the fashion brand SOPH., the first edition SOPH. Version is a unique interpretation / manipulation of Miyajima's original idea.

In SOPH. Version users can experience what the artists have called a "happening art," the result of a miniature local network that links the user's registered RFID tag to the tag reader and the 'Deathclock' software loaded on their PC.

SOPH. Version is and experimental artwork that deconstructs the existing framework of contemporary art, fashion, design, and technology.
